Down to the final details! (Did you notice that the turquoise lady has switched her champagne for a martini?) A beautiful art deco ceramic is being sculpted in the alcove... |

The orchestra has been invited to play in the orchestra pit...

... and the sculpture with light globe is
being installed in the foreground. Still lots of art deco design
features yet to be added into the composition... Note that the colour of the painting in real life is quite different to the way the photo shows it. The camera picks up a bit of light reflection on the surface of the canvas. The real colours are much richer. The music stands are not quite accurate for the art deco era: replace them later with timber stands with a shape to suit the client. |

| Next, use art deco research sketches to create some gorgeous fashion on the ladies on the dance floor, and invite people into the restaurant! |

Note the sculpture that the client decided to change over to her favourite draped lady sculpture so this white bird was painted over... all just a part of making sure the client is 100% happy with the end result! Helping to bring the art that's in your heart out into being... |

After a few adjustments that the client
requested, and a few adjustments suggested by the artist, the painting
is finished!! Can you spot the differences from the previous version? Here the painting is hanging in the Ashgrove lounge room, suiting the colours of the room beautifully. Since it is an oil painting, it will hang in place for several months to totally dry, after which it will be varnished to seal and protect forever. |
